Rick Nettina Jr joined his parents in the family business. He modernized the shop, introducing a full binder and web offset printing, while preserving the craftsmanship of letterpress printing. Rick expanded the clientele beyond the local neighborhood, serving businesses throughout Miami and beyond. Little River Press became known for its reputation as a trusted printing partner.
Now, in the 21st century, Ricky Nettina III has taken the helm of Little River Press, continuing the tradition of book printing while integrating digital technology and a focus on political campaign printing.
For three generations, the Nettina family have been the proud owners of Little River Press, a charming book printing shop nestled in the heart of Little River Miami. From humble beginnings to a thriving family business, the Nettina family poured their hearts and souls into the art of printing, making their mark on the community and weaving their legacy into the tapestry of their beloved neighborhood.
It all began with Dick Nettina, a resilient man with a deep entrepreneurial spirit. In the 1950s, he opened the doors of his first print shop in Buffalo, New York, equipped with a vintage letterpress machine and an unwavering determination to provide quality printing services to his community. A true family affair, Dick’s wife Rita played an integral role in the success of the business as a bookkeeper and manager, as well as his brother Bob at his side on the press. In 1962, the Nettinas moved to Florida and soon after purchased the Little River Press.
Our family legacy and commitment to our craft ensure we take the best care of our customers. We intend on printing in South Florida for generations to come.
